Collier Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking a GIS/Information Management (IM) Project Manager to join our team in Nashville. As the GIS/IM Manager you will be expected to develop relationships with our current and future clients with the goal of developing new business opportunities. You will also be expected to serve as our lead in Asset Management, GIS-Centric Projects mainly for our existing client base. There will be an expectation to assist our existing staff with making our systems and in house databases run better and more efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Deliver technical expertise to existing and future Information Management related projectsEnsure project performance of Information Management projects using staff resourcesIdentify opportunities, act as proposal manager for IM related pursuits and provide technical writing to support project proposal efforts and secure new project opportunitiesConduct client presentations, attend industry functions and develop client relationshipsEducation and Experience Requirements - What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Geography or related field, GISP certified is preferredMust understand GIS technology and be involved in the ARCGis Market and have a strong knowledge of the software7-10 years of experience with Information Management, Information Technologies or GIS3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager, familiarity with PMBOK principles and techniquesCandidate must have and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skillsReliability, strong work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are a mustPossess strong understanding/experience of applications, system design, and development lifecycle relating to GIS and ITExperience managing web and mobile application development projects using web APIExperience with a variety of software development methodologiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience working in a collaborative environment with team members, customers and consulting partners from a broad spectrum of disciplines
