What We’re Looking For
BWSC is looking for an Entry Level Geologist to be located in the Nashville, Tennessee office.  The position will involve working on a multi-discipline team supporting the Environmental Impact area of practice on projects located within the Southeastern US. 
Typical tasks the candidate will need to complete include field investigation support, technical writing and permit preparation, and GIS for environmental applications.  Multiple day assignments away from the office should be expected.  Types of field work will include Phase I environmental site assessments, asbestos inspections, and hazardous waste investigations.  Typical office work will include: data management, preparation of maps and figures, assisting in data evaluation, and assisting preparation of project work plans, reports, and permit applications.  The candidate must be reliable, cooperative, and service-oriented. 
Education/Experience Requirements

1 to 3 years of experience
4-year degree in environmental related field with geology focus
Eligible for future registrations such as a Professional Geologist
Proficient in ESRIs ArcGIS Desktop including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst Extensions
Understanding of the utilization of ArcGIS Online and Collector for ArcGIS for field data collection and assessment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel; may be at projects sites 50% or more
Experience in environmental field work a plus
Environmental related training (OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, asbestos inspection) a plus
