Paul Dudley - Location Intelligence Analyst, STS GIS ServicesHello TNGIC! I have been an engaged member since 2015. I have served on multiple committees, was a board member from 2020-2023, and served as President in 2023-2024. I have been part of the team on various TNGIC initiatives such as our website rebuild, the TNGIC Webinar Series, state LiDAR training efforts, Member News, TNGIS.org rebuild, jobs dashboard, conferences, fall forums, and disaster response efforts. I am the current chair of the Web and Data Committee. As a second term board member, I would like to focus on promotion of TNGIC to other business sectors, improve member engagement, and foster member led initiatives. I actively advocate for TNGIC, see the value of this great organization, and want to continue to serve. I am a Location Intelligence Analyst with the State of Tennessee STS-GIS Services group helping support various data programs. My primary focuses are imagery, LiDAR, statewide recreation data, open data and special projects. I am an active member of the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) and several other organizations. I am a graduate of UT Knoxville’s Geography Department. Corey Gens - Solution Engineer, GIS & Data Insights, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Information Technology ServicesCorey Gens is a Solution Engineer on the GIS & Data Insights team in the ITS Department at Metro Nashville Davidson County. In this role he helps administer several enterprise GIS environments, automate workflows, and other various GIS tasks. Before Metro Nashville Corey worked for True North Geographic Technologies and Esri where he helped utilities and local governments adopt GIS. He has over 10 years of experience and holds a Master’s and Bachelor's Degree in GIS technology. When Corey is not working on GIS projects he spends time with his 1 year old son, hiking in the Tennessee wilderness, or watching football. I want to serve on the board because I think I have a unique work experience having worked for consultants, software providers, and local governments. I believe this experience allows me to relate to a variety of TNGIC members. I also want to be on the board to communicate and collaborate with members more. As someone who has only been a member for a couple years I've seen how beneficial being involved with TNGIC can be and what better way to be more involved than to serve on the board. The best part of his job is facilitating the use of GIS tools across such a wide variety of departments to make other’s work easier and more efficient. Around 2012, Brant attended his first TNGIC conference as a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin and has been hooked on GIS ever since. While he has assisted with West TN forums and conferences in the past, he looks forward to being able to give back more to the organization by serving on the board.
